Dr. Onyeabo’s foundational expertise is anchored in an elite legal and academic background focused heavily on resource governance. She earned her Bachelor of Laws from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology before obtaining a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with First-Class Distinction in Oil and Gas Law from the University of Aberdeen. She later secured a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Energy Law and Transition Policy from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Recognizing that global decarbonization requires systemic corporate transformation, Dr. Onyeabo transitioned into senior management consulting and high-level corporate banking within the Asia-Pacific region. She served as the Associate Director of Climate and Sustainability at KPMG China, where she formulated large-scale corporate strategies and climate risk management pathways for enterprise clients.
